Bracelet Styling Tips & FAQs

How do I measure my wrist for a bangle?

When purchasing a round bangle without an opening or clasp, it’s essential to choose the right size to ensure it will slide over your hand and fit comfortably on your wrist.

Here’s a simple method to determine the correct size:

  1. Make a fist.
  2. Measure the distance from the outside of your first knuckle to the point between your third and fourth knuckles.
  3. Use this measurement as the diameter for your bangle. For example, if the measurement is 65mm, then you would need a bangle with a 65mm diameter.
How do I measure my wrist for a bracelet?

When purchasing a bracelet with an opening or clasp, it’s essential to choose the right size to ensure it will fit comfortably around your wrist.

To measure your wrist, use a flexible tape measure, strip of paper or a string. Simply wrap it around your wrist just below the wrist bone, where you would normally wear a bracelet, and then measure the length with a ruler.

This measurement is your wrist size. For a comfortable fit, add 1 to 1.5 cm (0.4 to 0.6 inches) to this measurement when selecting your bracelet size.

How do I layer or stack bracelets?

Mix different textures, materials, and widths. For instance, combine metal bangles with beaded bracelets or leather straps.

How tight should a bracelet fit?
  • A bracelet should fit comfortably without being too tight or too loose. You should be able to slip one or two fingers between the bracelet and your wrist.
