How to Care for Sterling Silver Jewellery

Silver is beautiful and versatile but prone to tarnishing when exposed to air and certain substances. Gentle polishing is often needed to restore its shine. Silver jewellery requires special attention and regular care to prevent tarnishing.

Keep your jewellery pristine and tarnish free with a NAJO silver cleaning cloth which features two layers; an inner treated cloth to loosen and remove tarnish, and an outer cloth to polish and restore shine.

It is recommended to polish your silver jewellery every time you take it off and store carefully.

Exposure to perfume, soap, moisturiser, shampoo etc. and cleaning products such as dishwashing liquid and bleach.

Use of commercial silver ‘dip’ solutions as they are unsuitable for cleaning hollow, oxidised, stone-set, pearl or plated jewellery and can cause surface deterioration.
Wearing delicate jewellery on more than an occasional basis
